Where it all began
MINIX began long before MINIX had a name. It began in a small workshop in Hungary, where my parents started making knitted caps for children. Stitch by stitch and year by year, their little business grew until it became the first and largest producer of knitted children's caps in Hungary.
I grew up among the yarns, the patterns and the quiet care that went into every piece. I watched my parents check each cap by hand before it left the workshop, and I learned that quality isn't a slogan. It's a habit you keep every single day.
Continuing the family craft
MINIX Switzerland is my way of continuing their story with my own vision. Every cap is designed in Switzerland and made in the EU from carefully selected European materials: soft, breathable cotton for everyday caps, and cosy knits for the colder months.
We are proudly small. We don't mass-produce, and we don't cut corners. Every cap is personally checked before it's packed, because we'd rather send fewer caps that are perfect than many that aren't.
Why it matters
A cap sits on your child's head for hours: at the playground, in the pram, during a nap in the car. That's why we believe children deserve products that are safe, gentle on their skin and made ethically, by people who are treated and paid fairly.
