Our caps are sized by head circumference in centimetres, so every cap fits properly. The size on each cap (for example 42 or 42-44) is the head circumference it fits.
How to measure
- Take a soft measuring tape (or a piece of string and a ruler).
- Wrap it around the widest part of your child's head: just above the eyebrows and ears, and around the back of the head.
- Keep the tape snug but not tight, and read the measurement in cm.

Ages are only a guide. Every child grows at their own pace, so measuring is always the most reliable way.
Fit tips
- Between two sizes? Choose the larger one. Our cotton caps contain 4% elastane for a gentle stretch, and your child will grow into it.
- Caps with ties can be adjusted a little under the chin for a secure fit.
- Knitted caps are naturally stretchy and cosy. Choose your exact size for a snug, warm fit.
Wrong size? No problem.
You can exchange your cap for a different size. Just let us know within 7 calendar days after delivery. The cap must be unworn, unwashed and have its original tags attached. Postage for the exchange is paid by the customer. See Shipping & Returns for details.
